Gun Requirements/Limitations

Hybrid Bullseye Shoot

All stages start from low ready position. No holsters needed.

Targets are bullseye targets with 7 through 10 scoring rings.

Any shot after the time limit eliminates highest shot score.

 

Short Range

50 yards – Shooter may sit or stand. Elbows may be on bench for support but no other support such as hand resting on the bench. 10 shots.

 

25 yards – Shooter must stand with no support.

            1st string – 10 shots in 30 seconds. One reload required.

            2nd string - Strong hand only – 10 shots in 30 seconds. One reload required.

 

15 yards – Shooter must stand with no support. No Reload

            5 shots in 15 seconds

            5 shots in 5 seconds

 

Bay 3 – Moving Shoot – Shooter will move forward with 5 shots starting at back line and stop at front line. Shooter will reload and retreat back to back line with 5 shots. All shots must be made with shooter moving. First shot in both directions must be taken within 2 steps from start position. Any shot taken standing still will eliminate highest scoring shot on target. There will be tables at both at the front and rear lines for shooters to use for magazine change. Total time limit – 30 seconds.

 

Bay 2 – Speed Steel - Shooter must stand with no support.

5 targets plus stop plate for total of 6. Timed event.  20 points per target. 

Scoring for Speed Steel is score x (1 minus [ 1/10th  X time over 3 seconds]). Any time of 3 seconds or less is a multiplier of 1.

Example – all 6 target hit in 5.35 seconds.

 120 x (1- [5.35 – 3 x.1 =.235]) = 120 x .865 = score of 91.8

Don’t worry, a computer will be used to calculate and total your score.

Maximum score attainable for entire match is 620.

Falling Plate Pistol (Rimfire Only)

Basic Objective: Shoot all of the plates down quicker than your apponent.

Sign up for these matches must be completed no later than the start of each match (0930). No shooter may sign up after the start time of the match. NO EXCEPTIONS. A matrix is used to conduct the shoot and once the shoot begins, the matrix can not be changed. No exceptions, don't ask, be on time.

Falling Plate Rifle (Rimfire Only)

Basic Objective: Shoot all of the plates down quicker than your apponent.

Sign up for these matches must be completed no later than the start of each match (normally 0930). No shooter may sign up after the start time of the match. NO EXCEPTIONS. A matrix is used to conduct the shoot and once the shoot begins, the matrix can not be changed. No exceptions, don't ask, be on time.

Hanging Plate Pistol/Rifle (Rimfire Only)

Basic Objective: To shoot each of the 6 plates with 1 round each within 6 seconds.

This is a timed .22 rim fire match. It consists of six round steel plates, suspended on 1/4" rods evenly spaced approximately 18" apart. You are allowed six (6) shots within a six (6) second time frame.

Speed Steel Plate Pistol

Basic Objective: To shoot each of the 5 plates as quick as possible

  1. All shooters are to meet in the club house for pre-match meeting by the match director
  2. Shooters to sign up for one or two events that they will shoot and pay match fees for each gun. Only two events per shooter. Two guns total
  3. Shooters will receive one score card for each gun they will be shooting
  4. Shooters to fill out each score card with their name and event to be shot
  5. Shooters will be matched by squad. Squads should be of equal shooters
  6. Each squad must pick a range officer and a score keeper
  7. Squad range officer - Pick up a bucket and proceed with your squad to assigned range
  8. Shooters are to give score cards to their squads score keeper upon arriving at their first range for competition. Score keepers are to record and total each shooters runs and final total. Other shooters are to share score keeping and range officer responsibilities when these two are up to shoot
  9. Score keepers are to turn in totaled score cards at the club house for input to determine event 1st and 2nd place winners, and awards
  10. All guns are to be holstered or bagged when a shooter is thru with each run with gun pointed down range. If gun is not holstered, it must be brought to the line each time in a bag/box/case. Before proceeding to the first event, shooters are to holster at the designated safe bench, or at their first starting station at the direction of the range officer for that range
  11. Guns are to be holstered or bagged at all times. No exceptions
Bowling Pin Pistol(Revised 08/2013)

Sign up for this match must be completed no later than the start of each match at 0930.
No shooter may sign up after the start time of each match, no exceptions.
A matrix is used to conduct the match and once the shoot begins the matrix can not be changed.
No exceptions, don’t ask, just be on time.
Four tables will be set up on the bowling pin range.

Rimfire:
Unless otherwise announced, rimfire will be shot first. Pin tops will be set to the front of the table.
Rimfire will be shot with 10 round maximum, no reloads. All guns shot in one class.

Centerfire:
When rimfire pin top match has been completed, centerfire will be shot. Full size pins will be set to the back of the table.
All guns shoot in one class. maximum rounds: 8 with no reloads. Exception: 6-shot revolvers may reload 2 additional rounds.

The match will be conducted using a round robin format with each shooter shooting two tables against each shooter.
One point will be awarded and scored on your score card for each table that is won and 1/2 point for a tie.
When the shooting matrix has been completed, high scroe wins the match.

-Winner is determined by which shooter gets all five pins on the ground first.
- If after both shooters have fired their number of rounds, and both shooters have:
   a) pins on their tables, the shooter with the least number standing wins.
   b) the same number of pins standing (or none), the one with the least number lying down wins.
   c) the same number standing and same number lying down then it is a tie.
It is suggested that each shooter bring at least 200 rounds for each event you will be entering and
depending on how many shooters compete, you could shoot over 200 rounds.
Match is limited to the first 22 shooters who sign up

Cash prizes will be paid to the first and second place shooters of each event.

** Any round that the range officer feels to be unsafe will not be allowed usage at pin matches.
If disallowed for usage, the shooters entrance fee will be refunded.

It is suggested that a minimum power factor of 136 be used.
The use of hearing protection and shooting glasses with wrap around or side protection is mandatory.
