Second Amendment Foundation

As the situation in Washington D.C., our state and many others throughout our great nation worsens towards firearm ownership, we are left with but a few organizations that are standing up for our 2nd Amendment rights. The NRA does its part but I would like to draw your attention to a foundation that has been a leader in the fight for gun rights and that is the Second Amendment Foundation based in Bellevue, Washington.

Founded in 1974 by Alan Gottlieb as a tax-exempt Washington State non-profit corporation under 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. It has been a pioneer in innovative defense of the rights to keep and bear arms, through its publications, public education programs and especially its legal action. It was one of the leading voices heard when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on the most recent 2nd Amendment decision. It has a noteworthy track record in supporting legal actions in cases affecting the rights to keep and bear arms in many states through out our nation. The foundation also creates and places educational advertisements in newspapers and national magazines outside the firearms field and runs commercials daily on hundreds of radio stations nationwide where budgets permit.

I have mentions but a few of the activities that are conducted and as you can see this all takes money to accomplish. Now I know that many of our members of Central Whidbey Sportsmen's Association are generous in donating to other causes, but if you are a gun owner, this foundation should be first on your list. I personally have cut back in other areas so that I can free up funds to support them in protection our of rights, and I ask you to do the same. You have heard about registering to purchase ammunition, bullet serializing, and other such nonsense and that is what this fight over at least the next 4 years is all about. Help where you can to the:
